Agregat is expanding its operations in Northern Ontario with the startup of a new crushing project in the Timmins area. We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team and play a key role in the success of this new operation.
At Agregat, we take pride in building successful operations from the ground up. As an Excavator Operator, you will be an integral part of the production team, helping to maintain efficient material flow and support daily crushing activities.
Main responsibilities
- Operate an excavator equipped with a hydraulic hammer to break oversized rock and material
- Feed crushers and screening plants while maintaining a consistent material flow to optimize production
- Load, move, stockpile, and manage aggregate materials as required
- Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and complete required documentation
- Monitor equipment performance and promptly report mechanical issues or maintenance needs
- Work closely with crushing plant operators, supervisors, and other team members to ensure efficient operations
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Assist with other site-related duties as required
Qualifications and skills sought
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating excavators in heavy civil, mining, quarry, or aggregate operations
- Experience operating excavators equipped with hydraulic hammers/rock breakers
- Experience feeding crushers and working around crushing and screening plants
- Strong understanding of safe operating practices around mobile and stationary equipment
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, productive, and safety-focused work environment
