Under the supervision of the Operations manager, the Maintenance planner actively participates in the planning and scheduling of repair and maintenance work in order to ensure maximum reliability of equipment and optimal use of available human and material resources while ensuring the efficient flow of information between the operations and mechanical team.
Work Schedule: To be determined (14-14, 8-6, etc.)

Main responsibilities
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair activities to optimize processes and establish effective communication mechanisms between the on-site team and the maintenance team;
- Supervise and mobilize the team of mechanics & maintenance team under his supervision;
- Ensure that maintenance work is carried out according to health, safety and environmental management standards and procedures to protect the health and safety of workers on the site;
- Develop, evaluate and optimize the maintenance management program to ensure the reliability of equipment and the continuous improvement of preventive maintenance processes;
- Supervise & Evaluate the company’s inventories and overview a reliable tracking of parts by implementing an optimal inventory management tool.
Qualifications and skills sought
- Mechanical engineering college degree;
- A certification in management or administration (an asset);
- 5 years of experience in truck mechanics and heavy equipment;
- Relevant experience in team management;
- Experience on the site of the Detour Lake mine (an asset);
- Good knowledge of software (Word and Excel) and computerized maintenance management system (an asset).
